For our latest audio cavalcade, we bring you an hour-and-a-half of discussion about football team badges, with particular focus on club teams in the UK. From the coat-of-arms badges worn by teams in the early 20th-century through to the modern logos we see today, we assess the development of that most kissable of team identities.
And by 'we,' it should be explained that this time Chris Oakley is joined by John Devlin, Rich Johnson and our special guest for this episode, Andy Rockall (deputising for Jay who's absent on this occasion).
So if you like laughing at photo-bombing owls, trees with nipples, references to CD-Rom encyclopedias and boiled sweets sold in Britain during the 1970's, you've definitely come to the right place. Leave us some feedback by telling us what you liked about the podcast / that we should give up altogether* or to tell us about your own favourite team badges.
Also, apologies for the poor sound quality at times during the recording. We had to use the audio track from a Google Hangout which never fails to disappoint. Hopefully it doesn't detract too much from your listening pleasure.
